'Boys' / 'My Town' single and videos announced
The Bridgeheads have published two new videos for their upcoming double A-side single ‘Boys’ / ‘My Town’. The single will contain some b-sides which are yet to be announced together with the cover artwork.

In the lead-up to their ‘Foreigners’ LP seeing the light of day early next year, this London-based Slovakian trio have released an arrestingly fresh double A-side to see in the back end of summer.
The spiky intro of ‘Best Ones’ quickly gives way to Tomas Dask’s bluesy, attention-grabb...ing voice, with the song’s well-crafted melodies characterised by urgent pace and frenetic rhythms throughout.
While the main refrain of ‘We are the best ones!’ is sure to stick in the head after repeated listens, the single’s second track ‘Pi’ is an altogether more delicate affair, with The Bridgeheads going for a more measured, slow-burn approach to great effect.
A range of string textures and percussive beats punctuate another great vocal performance from Dask, while the guitar parts soon develop from the forlorn to the sublime with the confidence of a band on the up.

The CD single contains 3 bonuses: live studio versions of 'Fire' and 'Secret Ink', and a yet unreleased song 'Cubes'.

We have a great news this week. The first double A-side single from 'Foreigners', Best Ones / Pi is coming out on 9 August 2010. The videos for these two songs have been published yesterday, 14 June. The single will be available as a CD and in all digital formats including FLAC. Videos:

'Tomas dAsK talks about the meaning behind the title of album 'Foreigners'
This has recently been uploaded on the band's youtube.This must be also the first video where you can see Tomas talking ever. It looks like an extract from an interview so hopefully more will follow soon.
So, finally, three years in making, The Bridgeheads debut album is here and is called 'Foreigners'. Today dAsK revealed on the band's official site www.thebridgeheads.com all details of the inventive way of the release. Click here to read the full announcement.

'TOMAS COMPARED RECORDING TO SWIMING ACROSS THE OCEAN'
Yesterday, Tomas wrote on the band's official scrapbook about the exhausting recording process which in his words sometimes felt like 'swimming across the ocean when you're just in the middle'. He also added that the album means to him 'what Guernica is to Picasso or Sunflowers to Van Gogh'. According to dAsK, the band shall announce the name of the album and its release date on Monday, 17.05.2010. Read the whole post here
